Anello Stays Hot, Leads Wahconah Golfers to Win

DALTON, Mass. – Kesler Anello birdied three holes Friday on his way to a 1-under-par 34 on the front nine at Wahconah Country Club, leading the Wahconah High golf team to a 153-183 win over Lee.
 
Anello birdied the third, fifth and ninth holes on his way to earning medalist honors.
 
“Kes has been a birdie machine lately,” Wahconah coach Pete Terpak siad. “That's six birdies in the last two matches. He has really played terrific.
 
"As a team we played very well: Logan Aitken at 37, Joe Hoffman at 40 and Braylen Washburn and Caleb Colombari coming in with 42s gave us a very well rounded night."
 
Matt Abderhalden led the Wildcats with a 41 that included a birdie on the third hole.
 
David Carlino (45), Noah Madsen (48) and Connor Pettibone (49) rounded out the scoring for Lee.
 
The Wildcats (1-2) are at Pittsfield on Monday.
 
Wahconah (3-1) hosts Mount Everett on Thursday.
