Hayden Leads Mount Greylock to Win at Cove Lanes

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Mount Greylock's Mark Hayden rolled the season's best two-game series Friday at Cove Lanes to lead the Mounties to a 21-10 win over Pittsfield in the Berkshire County High School Bowling League.
 
Hayden rolled scores of 267 and 268 for a 535 series.
 
Mount Greylock's victory kept it in third place in the league standings, but the Mounties lost a little ground to second-place McCann Tech, which posted a 31-0 win over the Lee Black squad.
 
Brandon Valone led the Hornets with games of 257 and 242.
 
First place Drury got the day's best single game performance, a 278 from Zach Yeaton, to cruise to a 31-0 win over Wahconah.
 
Taconic's Lynsey Aldam rolled a 214-203--417 to lead her team to a 26-5 win over Mount Everett.
 
And homestanding Monument Mountain defeated Lee, 23-8, behind a 205-244--449 from Tom Hankey.
 
The league rolls into North Adams on Tuesday for Baker Matches.
