St. Joe Girls, Boys Swim Past New Lebanon
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Jesse Tobin, Emma Whitney, Elizabeth Bartlett and Elizabeth Bernardy won two events apiece to lead the St. Joseph girls swimming team to a 70-22 win over New Lebanon on Tuesday at the Boys and Girls Club.
Tobin won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 4.3 seconds and the 100 free in :59.2. Whitney won the 500 free (6:00.9) and 100 backstroke (1:07.2). Bartlett won the 200 indivdual medley (2:38.1) and 100 breast stroke (1:18.8). Bernardy doubled in the 50 free (:27.7) and 100 butterfly (1:11.3).
St. Joseph also swept all three free style events.
New Lebanons’s Gigi French finished second in two events: the 200 free and 50 free.
In the boys meet, St. Joe beat New Lebanon, 46-16. Bailey Disanti and Micah Tassone were double winners. Disanti won the 200 free (2:30.3) and 100 breast stroke (1:23.9). Tassone won the 100 back (1:15.7) and 200 IM (3:06.1).
