Lavinio Homers as Pittsfield Baseball Finishes Strong

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Connor Lavinio went 2-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs Thursday to lead the Pittsfield baseball team to an 11-1 win over Belchertown in the teams’ regular season finale.
 
Jake Duquette went 3-for-4 with a double and drove in a pair of runs, and Nick Brindle was 2-for-3 with a double in an 11-hit Pittsfield attack.
 
Brayden Gutzmer struck out four and walked two while scattering four hits in a six-inning, complete game win.
 
Pittsfield (10-8) learns Wednesday who it will face in the first round of the state tournament.
