Womble Leads Taconic Baseball Past Pittsfield

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Christian Womble doubled twice and pitched a complete game to lead the Taconic baseball team to a 10-5 win over Pittsfield on Thursday.
 
At the plate, Womble went 2-for-3 with four RBIs.
 
On the mound, he struck out four and allowed just two earned runs.
 
Cedric Rose doubled twice, Austin Rachiele tripled and Anton Lazits doubled in the win.
 
For the Generals, Joe Traversa went 2-for-4, and Ryan LaPierre went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs.
 
The Generals (10-8) go to Mount Greylock on Wednesday.
 
Taconic (13-4) goes to Wahconah on Tuesday.
