NORTHAMPTON, Mass. -- The Wahcoah boys lacrosse team hit the midway point of the season with a perfect record and another dominating win.

On Tuesday, it was Northampton on the wrong end of a 23-7 decision against the 2021 Central/Western Massachusetts champions.

Caden Padelford collected six goals and seven assists, and Devin Lampron scored seven times.

Billy O'Neill had a hat trick and set up two goals, and Rylan Padelford and Jake Thomas each scored twice.

Noah Poirier won 14 of 17 faceoff tries, and Joe Massaro and Bryce Smith combined to make five saves in the Wahconah goal.

In the first half of the season, Wahconah (8-0) has outscored opponents 167-59, an average margin of victory of 13.5 goals per game.

And it gets to be home most of the rest of the way.

After playing its first eight games in the Pioneer Valley, Wahconah is home for seven of its next eight; the lone excepton comes May 13 when it goes to Agawam, the only Valley League foe it is yet to face.

It begins the second half of the league's double round-robin schedule next Tuesday with the home opener against West Springfield.
