Lenox Boys Roll to 3-0 Start

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – A balanced scoring attack and stalwart goaltending Wednesday propelled the Lenox boys lacrosse team to a 15-2 win over Pittsfield on Berkshire Community College’s Gene Dellea Field.
 
Jeffrey Larmon stopped seven shots and took a clean sheet into the fourth quarter as the Millionaires improved to 3-0 to start the season.
 
Lenox, which is outsourcing opponents 44-8 through the first three games, got three goals apiece from Eddie Boyko, Ian Mack and Donny Bowler on Wednesday.
 
Frederick Eustis scored a pair, and eight different Millionaires found the back of the net.
 
Mack was a force early on, scoring twice and setting up two goals in a 5-0 first quarter.
 
He completed his hat trick late in the half with a man-up goal to make it 8-0.
 
Eustis capped the half with a pair of goals in just over a minute to send Lenox into the break ahead, 10-0.
 
It was 12-0 before Pittsfield’s James Kastrinakis broke up Larmon’s shutout with a goal on the man advantage in the second minute of the fourth quarter.
 
Kastinakis scored again in the final minute of a quarter played with running time.
 
Clayton Codrey, Hunter Christman and Ashton Magner split time in goal for Pittsfield, combining for six saves.
 
Pittsfield (0-2) hosts Hoosac Valley on Friday.
 
Lenox is back at BCC next Wednesday to host Monson.
