Blue Devils Earn Road Tournament Win

MONSON, Mass. – Olivia Perry struck out four and scattered three hits on Monday to pitch the 17th-seeded Drury softball team to a 5-0 win over Monson in the first round of the Division 5 State Tournament.

 

Drury scored four runs in the top of the third to break a scoreless tie.

 

Sloan Brothers hit an RBI double, and Perry singled to drive in Brothers in the rally.

 

Brothers went 2-for-4 with three RBIs to lead a seven-hit attack for Drury.

 

The Blue Devils (11-10) go to top-seeded Turners Falls in the Round of 16 on Wednesday.
