McCann Tech Outslugs Mohawk Trail

BUCKLAND, Mass. – Shaylee Lawson went 4-for-5 with a triple Monday to lead the McCann Tech softball team to a 16-7 win over Mohawk Trail in the Hornets’ season opener.

 

Lawson scored twice and drove in a pair of runs for McCann Tech, which took control with an 11-run third inning to take a 14-0 lead.

 

Avery Lane went 3-for-5, and Gabby Driscoll was 2-for-4 with a double and a pair of RBIs.

 

Lane and Emma LeMire split time in the circle, striking out seven and allowing three earned runs.

 

McCann Tech (1-0) hosts Mount Everett on Wednesday.
