Hoosac Valley Boys Move Within One Win of Tourney Ticket

BENNINGTON, Vt. -- Izaha Stubbs Monday scored 33 points to lead the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team to a 75-58 win over Mount Anthony Union.

 

Carson Meczywor scored 18 for the Hurricanes, who led 42-26 at half-time.

 

“Carson Meczywor ran the show, created for others and is just a huge addition to this team,” Hoosac Valley coach Dave Harte said. ”The team is sticking together which is the only way we beat good teams.”

 

Hoosac Valley (9-5) is off until Feb. 4, when it will try to qualify for the Western Massachusetts tournament at Pittsfield.
