HUNTINGTON, Mass. – Aiden Champney scored eight points Thursday to lead the McCann Tech girls basketball team to a 37-23 win over Gateway Regional.

Alexis Lemanski scored seven, and Faith Brazeau and Emmalie Wood added six points apiece as the Hornets bounced back from their second loss of the season.

“Finding a way to win on the road in other gyms is an important part of the process of developing as a program and we saw a little adversity in the third quarter when Gateway cut it down to 6 or 8 but the girls responded well,” McCann Tech coach Justin Kratz said. “Faith and Aiden anchored us as usual and Alexis Lemanski played a good game as well.”

McCann Tech (13-2) is home on Friday to face Pathfinder.
