Wahconah Park on List of Historical Society's Summer Walking ToursThe Berkshire County Historical Society this summer is offering people a chance to learn about Wahconah Park's past, see the ballpark's present condition and learn about plans for a future incarnation of the city landmark.  Berkshire County Historical: 'In The Service of America' LectureThe lecture will look at some of the stories of the Black men from the Berkshires who served in the Continental Army and as minutemen and militia during the American Revolution, as well as what happened to veterans living in the Berkshires after the war was over.  BCHS Presents the Opera 'Billy Budd'Sept. 20 Performance at the Linde Center in Collaboration with Berkshire Opera Festival and the Tanglewood Learning Institute  BCHS Presents 'Sailing Towards My Father'The play chronicles Melville's life from youth to old age, concentrating on his evolution as a writer and his complex relationship with God; his parents and siblings; his wife and children; and Nathaniel Hawthorne.
