The international home decor company's new $5 million call center will employ upwards of 300 people in the coming months in a newly renovated section of the Clock Tower Building fully furnished, of course, with Wayfair products.
Niraj Shah, a 1991 graduate of Pittsfield High School, is bringing 300 jobs to his hometown with the development of a call center for the international home decor company. He was the keynote speaker at Neal's Economic Development Policy Summit hosted by Berkshire Community College.
Wayfair has finalized a lease in the Clocktower Building and expects to move in this fall.
Spokeswoman Molly Delaney said on Friday that the lease has been finalized at 75 South Church Street in building three. The company will occupy 40,000 square-feet.
