ADAMS, Mass. — Are you looking for an executive manor perfect for a growing family? Then this is the home for you.

Our Friday Front Porch is a weekly feature spotlighting attractive homes for sale in Berkshire County. This week, we are showcasing 9 East Road.

This four-bedroom and three-bathroom home was built in 2014 and is 3,864 square feet with an acre of land.

The home features a whole house wifi-controlled sound system with surround sound in the family and media rooms. The home also includes external cameras to enjoy your home in peace.

When you step inside the home you will notice an expansive open floor plan filled with natural light, with wood flooring throughout. The living room has a stone, gas fireplace to keep you cozy in the winter.

The kitchen and dining area features quartz countertops, a breakfast nook, and custom finishes. The primary bedroom features a walk-in closet and an attached bathroom with a bathtub.

Down in the finished basement is an exercise room and more rooms to entertain. While outside in your private back yard is a pool to enjoy in the warmer months or enjoy meals or alone time on the back deck. The house also has a three-car garage.

The house is on the market for $1,150,000.

We spoke with Sean Taylor with Moresi Real Estate Partners who is listing the home.

What do you think makes this house stand out in the current market?

This house is literally a dream come true. The house has been fully vetted, doesn't need a thing. Very great use of space and is a Kruzel Built custom residence.

What would you say to a buyer trying to imagine their life in this space?

The house is in move-in condition, and has state-of-the-art mechanics, windows, decks and more.

Do you know any unique stories about the home or its history?

The house is only 12 years old and has had one family who made it an executive manor.

What do the current owners love most about the home?

That it is a great fit with plenty of room to move around or hide quietly.

Are there any standout design features or recent renovations?

The Trex deck had a complete replacement, and a new general generator.

How would you describe the feel or atmosphere of this home?

Very well laid out where the new owners can make it their own.

What is the neighborhood like?

The house is in "farm country" and set back enough from the street to enjoy sitting on your covered front porch or in the attached screened gazebo or enjoying privacy in your back yard.

Adams Fire District Anticipates Need For Special Election

By Sabrina DammsiBerkshires Staff
ADAMS, Mass. — An abrupt resignation from the Prudential Committee has the board considering whether to hold a special election.

John Pansecchi's resignation was announced at Monday's meeting, leaving the committee with only two members, Chairman Richard Kleiner and Vice Chair Michael Lahey.

It could also coincide with a special Fire District meeting to authorize funds to fix a rusting Engine 2.

The committee is considering holding a district meeting on the same day as the special election, possibly in February.

Pansecchi, the past fire chief, told iBerkshires that he had not planned to join the committee following his retirement but stepped into the role when no one else ran for the seat. He was elected in May to complete the final two years of an unexpired term.

"I have found I am not enjoying [the position]. This coupled with a text conversation [Kleiner] and I had, along with the time change of the meeting has led me to the following decision," he said. "I have decided to resign as a member of the Prudential Committee effective immediately."

In a follow-up with iBerkshires, Pansecchi said the text message accused him of being hostile toward new Fire Chief David Lennon after Pansecchi disagreed with him over solar panel inspections.
