Dalton COA to Offer Aging Mastery Program
DALTON, Mass. — The Dalton Council on Aging and Senior Center is pleased will be offering the Aging Mastery Program, a free 10-week health and wellness series for people ages 60 and over.
The series will be on Wednesdays, 1 to 2:30 p.m. from Sept. 7 to Nov. 9. The goal of the program is to empower older adults to make and maintain small but impactful changes in behaviors to enjoy a better quality of life.
The program was developed by the National Council on Aging and features a different trusted speaker each week.
Group participation and a healthy snack make for a fun and supportive environment. Participants earn gift cards for class attendance and for completing other activities.
The council is currently recruiting 12 adults (ages 60+) and hopes to register a wide range of participants.
The classes will explore Techniques for Improving Sleep Quality, Preventing Falls, Healthy Eating and Hydration, Advance Planning, Financial Fitness, Maintaining Healthy Relationships, Community and Civic Engagement, and other
wellness topics.
