Friday Front Porch Feature: A Classic New England Home

By Breanna SteeleiBerkshires Staff

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Are you looking for a classic New England home with plenty of space for entertaining? Then this might be the home for you.

Our Friday Front Porch is a weekly feature spotlighting attractive homes for sale in Berkshire County. This week, we are showcasing 153 Gale Road.

This 1986 home has five bedrooms and 4 1/2 bathrooms, totaling 4,697 square feet, with just about three acres of land to enjoy.

The house features wood flooring throughout, two wood-burning fireplaces, two wood stoves, central air conditioning and a two-car attached garage.

Completing the property are owned solar panels, updated bathrooms, and a fully finished basement perfect for family fun, hanging out with friends, or time for yourself. Outside your cedar-shingled home, you can enjoy landscaped grounds, an expansive deck with a screened porch, and a custom fire pit.

The house is on the market for $1,490,000.

We spoke to the listing agents from Burnham and Gold Real Estate Rebecca Cellana and Erin Scott.

What do you think makes this property stand out in the current market?

This house is spectacular, with a sprawling traditional layout, and it is located right around the corner from the center of town.

What kind of buyer do you see this home being perfect for?

It could work perfectly as either a primary or secondary home.  It would also be great for someone who likes to entertain or host guests.

Are there any standout design features or recent renovations?
