DALTON, Mass. — Otis resident and musician Pete Adams and singer-songwriter/guitarist Bobby Sweet of Becket, will be celebrating the release of their new album "Southwest Passage" at the Stationery Factory on Aug. 9.
The evening begins at 7 and will feature songs from the album in addition to other country dance tunes. The full band event also features Jody Lampro, Dan Broad, and Andy Crawford.
Adams has played with regionally popular bands over the years, including Cobble Mountain Band, Dooley Austin Band, and the BSweet Band. As a sixth-generation musician and multi-instrumentalist, Sweet has seven albums to his name. He has lent his talents as a musician and recording engineer/producer to many regional recording projects.
"Southwest Passage" is a collection of songs harkening back to the heyday of electric and steel guitar instrumentals of the '50s.
