WOBURN, Mass. -- Taconic High School student Mollie Crawford was named a 2026 Sportsmanship Award by the Bay State Games this month.
Crawford, who played volleyball at the games, was one of more than 40 athletes from across the commonwealth in eight different spors recognized for demonstrating, "fairness, respect, integrity, and a commitment to the spirit of competition," according to a BSG news release.
“Sportsmanship is a core value of the Bay State Games which we emphasize to all athletes, coaches and parents,” BSG Deputy Executive Director Alanis Tirabassi said. "These award recipients represent the very best of what the Bay State Games is all about. We're grateful to DICK'S Sporting Goods for helping us recognize these outstanding student-athletes and celebrate the positive impact they have on their teammates, competitors, and communities.”
Award recipients received a certificate and a medal.
