Dates: • 04/22 through 05/29 at 8:00 am until 5:00 pm
Location: Pittsfield YMCA
Address: 292 North St, Pittsfield, MA
Information:

Event Date: Saturday, May 30 at Burbank Park

Registrations are open for the Pittsfield Family YMCA’s Tie Dye Dash: 5K Color Run fundraiser. The event will be held rain or shine on Saturday, May 30, starting at 9 a.m. Register by April 30 for the best rate of $20.

The race is a 5K color run that begins and ends in Burbank Park, where victory is in doing your personal best. This race is not about being the fastest or being in the best shape; it is about encouraging healthy lifestyles. You can walk, jog, run or hop on one foot as long as you get out there and give it your all. Dressed in a provided YMCA white T-shirt and sunglasses, you will pass through 5 splash zones where colored cornstarch powder will be tossed at you. By the end of the 3.1 miles (5K), you will be colored in a tie dyed array of creativity. All proceeds support the Pittsfield Family YMCA’s Bright Futures: Summer Literacy Program.

Day before the event
3-7 p.m.: Packet pickup at the Pittsfield Family YMCA. Packet includes: Map of the race and rules, one color packet, sunglasses and white YMCA T-Shirt.

Day of event
8-8:45 a.m.: Day of Race registrations with packet pickup at the Controy Pavilion in Burbank Park. Cash only on the day of race. Optional: Please donate a new or gently-used youth book for our literacy initiatives!
9 a.m.: Race begins. Arrive 45 minutes early so you have time to park and stretch.

Cost: If participant registers by April 30, the cost is $20. If participant registers from May 1-29, the cost is $25. If participant registers the day of the race, the cost is $35 and is cash only. Children under 8 years old (on race day) and all pets are not permitted to participate in the race. Parking is available at Burbank Park.
