Cases heard before Judge Mary Lou Rup on Tuesday, May 6.

Dustin Clark, 30, of New Ashford had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two counts of rape and a single count of indecent assault and battery on a person who has attained age 14.

He was released on personal recognizance. Clark is accused of sexually assaulting a 25-year-old woman in Pittsfield on November 25, 2009.

Stephanie Bullett, 28, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on her behalf on single counts of possession of heroin with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

She was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $5,000 cash or $50,000 surety bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at her home on March 26, 2014.

Christopher Harrington, 35, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of possession of heroin with intent to distribute - his second offense - and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

He was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $25,000 cash or $250,000 surety bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at his home on March 26, 2014.

Ronald King, 53, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, drug violation in a school zone and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

He was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $50,000 cash or $500,000 surety bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 51 Cherry Street on March 20, 2014.

Christopher Harrington, 35, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of possession of heroin with intent to distribute - his second offense - and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

He was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $25,000 cash or $250,000 surety bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at his home on March 26, 2014.

Anthony Shepard, 25, of Pittsfield had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, illegal ownership of a firearm, rifle or shotgun and possession of ammunition without a firearm identification card.

He was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $10,000 cash or $100,000 surety bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at his home on April 3, 2014.

Nathan Milette, 40, of Brooklyn, N.Y. had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on seven counts of rape of a child with force, four counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under the age of 14 and two counts of indecent assault and batter on a person who has attained the age of 14.

He was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $25,000 cash or $250,000 surety bail. Milette is accused of sexually assaulting a man who is now 22 years old in Pittsfield between June 2, 1995 and December 12, 2005.

     

North Adams Police Seeking Missing City Man

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Police are seeking the whereabouts of Joshua S. Bressette, 25, who has been missing since Monday, May 5.

Bressette requires a well-being check and may be in danger.

He was last seen in the city between 3 and 4 p.m. on Monady at the Price Chopper parking lot on State Road.

He is about 5-foot-7, 140 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes. He has a number of distinctive tattoos, including "Live Fast Die Young" and a star with an eye on his neck; the Star of David on his right elbow; and a skeleton on his right side of his torso.

He usually wears dark clothes, knit cap and glasses.

Anyone with information on Bressette or has seen him since Monday afternoon, is asked to contact the Police Department at 413-664-4944. Anonymous tips can be made to the detective's bureau at 413-662-3105, Ext. 4210.
 

     

Vermont State Police Investigating Dog Abuse

Update at 10:54 p.m., April 29: The Vermont State Police were able to identify the owner of the deceased dog located in Alta Gardens MHP in the Town of Pownal. After an extensive investigation police found the circumstances of the case not criminal. 

No charges will be filed.

POWNAL, Vt. — Vermont State Police are investigating a case of animal cruelty after finding the body of an emaciated dog.

Troopers were at Alta Gardens Mobile Home Park at about 3 p.m. on Monday for an unrelated incident when a park resident approached them about finding the dog.

The resident told the troopers that a dog's body had been dumped behind one of the trailers. It had been placed in a trash bag and appeared to be hidden in a culvert.

Upon further investigation, the dog was found to be extremely emaciated and showed significant signs of neglect. The dog was a 3- to 5-year-old male pitbull, cream in color. He was found wearing a distinguishable collar and missing his right eye.  

State police are pursuing leads and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Shaftsbury Barracks at 802-442-5421. Information can also be submitted anonymously at www.vtips.info or by texting "CRIMES" (274637) to keyword "VTIPS."

     

Pittsfield Man Hospitalized After Collision with Cruiser

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — A city man was sent to the hospital last Wednesday night after being hit by a police cruiser.

George Johnston, 58, was transported to Berkshire Medical Center after being hit at the intersection of First and Orchard streets on April 24.

Police said Johnston was on foot and crossing First Street at approximately 9:58 p.m. when Lt. Mike Winston collided with him in a fully marked cruiser. Winston was southbound on First Street; there is one crosswalk on the south side if the intersection. The report did not state if Johnston was in the crosswalk when the accident occurred.

Johnston was reportedly treated for non-life threatening injuries; Winston was unhurt.

The Police Department's accident reconstruction team is currently investigating the accident and anyone with information is asked to call the traffic bureau at 413-448-9700, Ext. 338.

Thomas Massey Jr., 43, of North Adams had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single counts of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

He was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $10,000 bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 74 Liberty Street on March 17, 2014.

Tareem Jackson, 26 of Troy, N.Y. had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on single count of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

He was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $80,000 bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 74 Liberty Street on March 17, 2014.

Brenda Blasi, 45, of North Adams had not guilty pleas entered on her behalf on single counts of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy to violate drug laws.

She was ordered to be held at the Berkshire County House of Correction on $25,000 bail. The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 74 Liberty Street on March 17, 2014.
