North Adams – The Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts will celebrate its annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day event on Sat., Feb. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Amsler Campus Center Gym on the college campus.

Sponsored by the MCLA Athletic Department, this free event is for girls in grades 3 through 8. Attending this year’s event will be special guest Kay McMahon, an LPGA teaching professional, who will offer a golf clinic to the girls.

Additional clinics plan to focus on basketball, volleyball and
tennis.

McMahon has instructed golfers of all abilities, conducting golf clinics and seminars both nationally and internationally. In 2001, she was selected as one of the Top 400 Teachers in the U.S by Golf Magazine.
