The election for selectmen is May 5 this year. There are many challenges the town of Adams is facing in the coming years, such as the problems with the school buildings, the downtown development, i.e., the Jones Block, and Hinge Block projects also the town being the developer for the Greylock Glen, and the redoing the Summer Street and area and working with North Adams on Lowe's project to name a few projects. We are at Proposition 2 1/2. And the only things going up now are our taxes and fees.
We should all do our part by getting out to vote. We have some good candidates this year to choose from. Facing all these issues, we are going to need a person who can hit the ground running.
Michael Ouellette can do this. He has the most expertise in government; he has served in government for more than eight years. He is also a proven leader. And listening to him talk, he not only sees the problems, he has ideas on how to fix them. And he listens to what people say.
Therefore, I am supporting Michael Ouellette for the position of selectman. I would hope you would join me. Norma Morin
