Dover L. Owens, 91

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Dover Landin Owens, 91 of North Adams, MA died on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at Berkshire Medical Center-North.

He was born on December 5, 1932 in Piedmont, Anderson County, South Carolina, a son of the late Norman and Jessie Mae (Jones) Owens.

Dover was a veteran of the Korean War and honorably served in the US Army. He worked at Sprague Electric Company, Vishay Sprague, and MRA Laboratories. Dover married Lenette Odis (Swanson) Owens on March 31, 1966, and she died on January 25, 1991.

Dover leaves his son, Christopher L. Owens; and sister, Peulah “Marie” Moore. He also leaves his longtime companion Sirhan Solfa and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Linda Jean Warren and his sister, Vera Harris.

I knew Dover when I worked at Sprague years ago, He was a quiet man also very nice very polite. Always spoke to me whenever I saw him...condolences to his family. RIP

Chris I’m deeply sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Dover in Sprague Electric. He was a very kind, up beat worker. Every morning I use to stop by to see my dear friend. I was always welcome with a big smile and a shout out Mikey son. Rest in peace my friend.
