Beverly Goodell, 68

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. —  Beverly Lynn (Raymond) Goodell, 68 of North Adams died Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. She was born on February 15, 1955 in Brookline, MA, a daughter of Henry Raymond and Esther May (Frazier) Raymond Foucher.

Beverly was a supporter of American Indians and was a frequent participant in Pow Wows and was known by her native American name of “Waking Catamount”. She was actively involved with the Salvation Army and will be greatly remembered as the bell ringer during Christmas at Stop and Shop in North Adams. She greeted shoppers with her upbeat holiday spirit and singing.

Beverly loved all animals and especially cared for those that were homeless. She was a great storyteller where she could gather a group of children to participate in her stories.

Beverly is survived by her siblings; George Foucher (Tammy), Bonnie Gomez (Mike), Shari Foucher, Darlene Howe (Ted) along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Charles Goodell, who died in 2017.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE NOTICE: A Celebration of Life for Beverly Lynn Goodell will take place on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 5:00pm at the American Legion on 91 American Legion Drive, North Adams, MA. Please bring a dish to share and a story to tell.

My most sincere condolences to all Beverly’s family. I remember Beverly as a student at Notre Dame School. More recently, I enjoyed running into her because of her infectious upbeat attitude. Sad loss.?

Bev always had so many wonderful stories to tell every child. She told the stories with such excitement. She always had a smile and willing to hold a conversation with you. Bev hope you are telling all the wonderful stories to the angels. Keep smiling!
