Lydia B. Camadine, 93

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Lydia Bertha Camadine, 93, of 2739 Crossett Hill, Duxbury, Vt., and formerly of 165 Veazie St., died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Berlin (Vt.) Health and Rehab. Born in North Adams on Dec. 12, 1919, daughter of Nelson and Hermine Sweeney Plankey, she graduated from the Drury High School. Mrs. Camadine was employed at the former Hoosac Bank for many years as assistant treasurer until her retirement in 1981. Before that, she worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame du Sacre Coeur Church, and was devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Her husband, Victor G. Camadine, whom she married on July 22, 1944, died on Aug. 26, 1986. She leaves a daughter, Carol Senning and her husband, Robert, of Duxbury; four grandchildren, Joshua Brien Senning, Portia Senning, Thomas Victor Senning and Sophia Senning, and nieces and nephews. Her siblings Rita Sweeney, Emily Bassett, Evelyn Young and Charles Plankey are deceased. FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Camadine will be Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, Dec. 2, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
