Flora L. Laliberte, 48
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Flora Leona Laliberte, 48, of 165 Lindley Terrace died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at North Adams Regional Hospital of cancer.
Born in North Adams on June 30, 1953, daughter of Chesterand Marjorie Morrisse Johnson of Pownal, she attended schools there and graduated from Charles H. McCann Technical School in 1971.
Mrs. Laliberte was employed as a manager and supervisor for the Cumberland Farms Corp. in Connecticut and Massachusetts for several years, including at the Cumberland Farms store on Main Street. In February 2001, she opened Flo's Country Store on North Hoosac Road.
She was a member of the American Legion Ladies' Auxiliary Post 90 in Pownal, Vt., and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and spending time in her garden.
Her husband, Arthur "Fred" Laliberte, whom she married Sept. 7, 1996, died May 11, 2000.
Besides her parents, she leaves a daughter, Bobbie Jo Rice Platt of Williamstown, with whom she made her home; two stepsons, Wayne Laliberte of San Diego and Bruce Laliberte of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; a stepdaughter, Connie Anderson of Pflugerville, Texas; a sister, Sue Davignon of North Adams, and her former husband, Timothy H. Rice of Windsor.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Carl Johnson and Bruce Johnson.
FUNERAL NOTICE — At Mrs. Laliberte's request, there will be no funeral services or calling hours. Burial will take place in the family plot in Eastlawn Cemetery, Williamstown.
