Lorraine Dupre Bentley, 64

ADAMS, Mass. — Lorraine Doris Dupre Bentley, 64, of 3 Myrtle St., died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003,  at North Adams Regional Hospital.

Born in North Adams on June 4, 1939, daughter of Walter Duquette Sr. and Doris LaBonte Duquette, she graduated from Drury High School in 1957. She also resided at the Ashland Street High Rise in North Adams for many years.

Ms. Bentley was employed by Sweetwood Retirement Community in Williamstown until retiring in 2001. Prior to that, she had been employed by the former Widen Tannery in North Adams for a short time.

She was a communicant of Notre Dame Church in North Adams and was former secretary of the Ashland Park Tenants Association. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and reading.

Her late husband, Richard Dupre, whom she married July 2, 1983, died Jan. 18, 1999.

She leaves her husband, Deryl G. Bentley Sr., whom she married June 23, 2002, in Adams; three daughters, Nancy J. Harrington of North Adams, Brenda L. Grant of Savoy and Julie A. Wetherell of Hancock; three sons, Kenneth E. Randall Jr. of North Adams, Steven C. Randall of Pownal, Vt., and Russell K. Martin III of Adams; three stepdaughters, Sherri Bevins of North Adams, Deborah McClure of Jacksonville, Fla., and Elizabeth Brazeau of Ohio; a stepson, Deryl G. Bentley Jr. of North Adams; six brothers, Arthur Duquette of North Carolina, Edward Duquette of Cheshire, John Duquette and Raymond Duquette, both of Adams, Walter Duquette of Bushnell, Fla., and James Duquette of Corning, N.Y.; five sisters, Ruth Skiffington of North Carolina, Annette Talbot of Adams, Linda DelRatez, Janet Duquette and Dawn Wilson, all of Corning; nine grandchildren, and six stepgrandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a stepgrandson, Michael Sumner; a brother, William Duquette, and a sister, Ellen Duquette.

FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Lorraine Duquette Dupre Bentley will be Thursday, Oct. 2, at 11 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, West Chapels, 521 West Main St.

Burial will follow in the family plot in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.
