Michael J. Oleskiewicz, 40
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Michael John Oleskiewicz, 40, of 49 Hall St. died Friday, Dec. 8, 2000, at North Adams Regional Hospital, where he was admitted on Tuesday, Dec. 5. Death followed a short illness.
Born in North Adams on Sept. 3, 1960, a son of Rose Carpentino Oleskiewicz and the late Herman Oleskiewicz, he attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the class of 1978.
Mr. Oleskiewicz was first employed as an inspector with the Waverly Fabric Co. in Adams for a few years. He was last employed with Excelsior Process and Engraving on Curran Highway.
He was an active member of the Adams Lodge of Elks, BPOE, 133S.
Besides his mother, he leaves his wife, the former, Maura J. Davis, whom he married on June 23, 1979 in North Adams; a daughter, Stacy Ann Oleskiewicz, stationed with the Army at Fort Lee, Va.; a son, Michael John Oleskiewicz at home; five brothers, William Oleskiewicz of Lakeland, Fla., Peter F. Oleskiewicz of Nashville, Tenn., Paul Oleskiewicz of North Adams, Joseph Oleskiewicz of Adams and Allan Oleskiewicz of Williamstown; three sisters, Gloria Martin of North Adams and Charlene Ouimet and Darlene Whitman, both of Adams; a granddaughter, Courtney Jean Oleskiewicz of North Adams, and his father-in-law, Richard E. Davis of North Adams, and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
His sister Victoria "Dede" Moynihan died July 1, 1997.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Funeral services for Mr. Oleskiewicz will take place Monday morning at 8 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Francis of Assisi Church.
