Mary R. LaDame, 93

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Mary Rita LaDame, 93, of 115 Versailles Ave. died Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Williamstown Commons. Born in North Adams on April 4, 1918, daughter of Carmine and Giuseppina Esposito Mangano, she attended Drury High School. Mrs. Mangano was employed at the former Sprague Electric Co. for 42 years and, lastly, at Williams College for six years until her retirement in 1980. She was a communicant of the former St. Anthony of Padua Church and was a former member of the Emblem Club. Her husband, John Francis LaDame, whom she married on Oct. 24, 1942, died on June 10, 1975. She leaves a sister, Josephine Trimarchi of North Adams, and nieces and nephews. Four sisters, Catherine Giorgenti, Carmela Mangano, Annie Caprari and Angelina Damiano, and four brothers, John, Thomas, Frank and Salvatore "Sammy" Mangano, predeceased her. FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mrs. LaDame will be celebrated Thursday, July 7, at 11 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 9 to 10:30 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Elizabeth's Church in care of the funeral home.
