Marion A. LaBombard, 93
MORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Marion A. LaBombard, 93, of 339 Huntington St. died Monday, Sept. 3, 2001, at North Adams Commons.
Born in North Adams on March 29, 1908, daughter of Martin and Albina Bissaillon Walden, she attended local schools.
Mrs. LaBombard was employed by the former H.W. Clark Biscuit Co. for several years and then by the former Sprague Electric Co. for many years, retiring in the early 1970s.
She was a communicant of St. Francis' Church and a former member of the Sprague Electric Bowling League. She also enjoyed playing bingo.
Her husband, Wilfred LaBombard, whom she married May 7, 1927, in Notre Dame Church, died Dec. 13, 1979.
She leaves two daughters, Marianne Smith and Sally Lapine, both of North Adams; three sons, Lawrence LaBombard and Robert LaBombard, both of North Adams, and Martin LaBombard of Housatonic; a brother, Martin Walden of North Adams; a sister, Edith Langevin of North Adams; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Betty Marony; two brothers, Frederick and Arthur Walden; and two sisters, Jesse Burtt and Lillian Lavarriere.
FUNERAL NOTICE - Services for Mrs. LaBombard will be Thursday at 8:15 at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be tomorrow from 5 to 8 at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested for the North Adams Ambulance Service through the funeral home.
