NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The hard work put in by the Drury boys' soccer team hasn't quite been seen on the scoreboard so far this season. That is, until the Blue Devils scored three second-half goals to seal a 4-2 home win over Mount Everett, giving Drury its first win of the year on Wednesday.

Senior captain Ryan Ouimet scored two of the three goals in the second half, first giving the hosts a 2-1 lead in the 47th minute by scoring off of a pass from Cameron Lesure. The Blue Devils sophomore then increased his team's lead 19 minutes later, heading in a corner kick from classmate Sully Boland. Ouimet then sealed the deal with eight minutes left in the game, finishing off a feed from senior Jacob Groves for his team-leading fifth goal of the year.

Nick Tomich added a score for the Eagles (2-5) with three minutes remaining, but that wasn't enough from preventing Greg Caproni's squad from enjoying victory for the first time this year.

"It is good to finally win," Caproni said. "These kids deserve it with how hard they have been working. Things are starting to fall together, and we are working better with each other and moving the ball faster and faster."

Drury (1-7-1) took a 1-0 lead in the game 11 minutes in when Groves scored off another corner kick from Boland. Nikos Casivant tied the game by knocking in a rebounded shot off the crossbar, however, and the game remained tied at 1-1 at halftime. Junior Joseph Liporace made nine saves in goal for the Blue Devils, while Blake Ferrara stopped three shots in net for Everett.

Drury next hosts Mohawk at 4 p.m. on Friday.
