SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Andrew Consolini scored in the 46th minute to break a 1-1 tie and send the Mount Everett boys soccer team to a 2-1, come-from-behind win over Hoosac Valley in the Eagles’ season opener on Tuesday.

Hoosac (0-2) opened the scoring midway through the first half when Braidee Greene set up Ryan Walczak for a goal.

Five minutes later, Anthony Lupiani scored with an assist from Brendan Dempsey to tie it.

“I thought both teams played a good competitive game,” Eagles coach Joshua King said. “Mount Everett had several opportunities that they need to convert on if they plan on being successful. We will look to get some work in tomorrow and get ready for our game with St. Mary's on Thursday.”

Hoosac Valley hosts Wahconah next Tuesday.
