WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Sam Edge stopped seven shots to earn his first career shutout, and Zach Condon provided the only offense for the Mount Greylock boys soccer team in a 1-0 win over Hampshire on Saturday.

“We got a good defensive effort tonight from the entire team,” Mounties coach Blair Dils said. “We had to work very hard to hold off Hampshire who put a lot of pressure on us throughout the second half."

In the 32nd minute, Condon converted a rebound off a corner kick play to give Mount Greylock (4-1-1) the lead.

The Mounties take a three-game winning streak into Monday night’s game against Taconic at Berkshire Community College.

This game was later forfeited.
