PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Grady Pederson set up both goals as the Pittsfield boys soccer team defeated Amherst, 2-0, on Saturday afternoon at Kirvin Park.
 
Pederson set up Louis Higuera for the game's first goal in the seventh minute.
 
Late in the second half, Pederson fed Sean Baruch for an insurance tally.
 
Jon Bile made three saves to earn the shutout win for the Generals.
 
Pittsfield (2-0) hosts Wahconah on Tuesday.
