Arace Scores Three in Lenox Girls' Win

LENOX, Mass. -- Alessandra Arace Friday had a hat trick to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 7-0 win over Mount Everett.
 
The Millionaires (1-2) scored six first-half goals to earn their first win of the season.
 
"We've been working on starting our games with a better tempo, so I was pleased to see us apply that tonight and put pressure on right away," Lenox coach Kyle Zinchuk said. "Our midfield did a terrific job tonight of controlling the field with well placed passes and movement off the ball.
 
"We really used the entire field tonight and found space for ourselves, which paid off."
 
Tova Brown scored twice, and Abby Schilling had two assists. Nicole Gamberoni and Paige Looney each scored a goal.
 
Shannon Meisberger and Taylor Knight split time in the Lenox goal, making four saves apiece.
 
Madison Ullrich made eight saves for the Eagles (2-1), who host St. Joseph on Monday.
 
Lenox travels to face Smith Voc on Monday.
