Pittsfield Girls Win 12th Straight

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Amanda Wright scored two goals, and Allie Hunt made three saves on Friday to lead the Pittsfield girls soccer team to its 12 straight win, a 4-1 decision over Westfield at Kirvin Park.
 
Rachel Godwin and Trinity Cookis also scored for the Generals (11-2-2), who last lost on Sept. 10 against Belchertown.
 
Pittsfield went to half-time tied 1-1, but Wright scored her 19th of the season in the ninth minute of the second half to give her team a 2-1 lead, and she added her 20th of the season 13 minutes later.
 
Lindsey Schopp picked up a pair of assists in the second half -- setting up Wright and Cookis.
 
Pittsfield travels to face Lenox on Wednesday evening.
