Wiseman, Alvarez Lead Mount Greylock to Victory to Clinch Postseason

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Mount Greylock's Matt Wiseman overcame a slow start and birdied the last two holes to finish at 43 and lead the Mounties to a 180-187 victory over Wahconah on Friday at Waubeeka Golf Links.
 
With the win, Mount Greylock (8-5) qualified for the Western Mass championships.
 
Kyle Alvarez matched Wiseman at 43 to lead the Mounties.
 
Sebastian Babeu took medalist honors with a 41 that included an eagle on the 453-yard, par 5 No. 8.
 
Wiseman birdied the eighth hole and the 347-yard, par 4 finishing hole to finish at 7-over for the day.
 
Bennett Zimmerman carded a 46, and Ben Gilooly and Lilly Crolius each finished at 48 to round out the scoring for the Mounties.
 
Wahconah got a 48 from Jonathon Dos Santos and 49s from three players: Trevor Salvini, Colette Basilere and Andrew Beaudoin.
