Mount Greylock Girls Track Edges Lenox

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Madison Ross won the 100-meter dash and the high jump Monday to lead the Mount Greylock girls track and field team to a 74-67 win over Lenox in a triple dual meet at Drury High School.

 

The Mounties also won over the host Blue Devils, who lost to the Millionaires.

 

Ross won the 100 in 12.70 seconds and cleared 4 feet, 6 inches in the high jump.

 

She also placed second in the long jump and the 200 -- both times to Lenox's Shannon Meisberger.

 

Meisberger won the 200 in 25.70, beating Ross' time of 26.30. In the long jump, Meisberger beat the field by more than two feet, jumping 16-4.

 

Emma Jourdain also was a double-winner for Lenox, taking first in the 1600 (5:26) and the 3200 (12:00.00).

 

Drury got a 1-2 finish from Ashton Guyette and Laura Thomas in the javelin. Guyette won with a throw of 88-2.
