Tobin, Field Lead St. Joe Girls Swimming to Win in Opener

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Haley Tobin and Ellie Field were double winners on Friday to lead the St. Joseph girls swimming team to a 61-33 win over Taconic Hills in the Crusaders' season opener at the Boys & Girls Club.

 

Tobin won the 200-yard and 500 freestyle and also swam on St. Joe's winning 200 and 400 free relay quartets.

 

Field won the 200 individual medley and 100 free and swam a leg on a victorious relay in the 200 medley relay.

 

St. Joe's girls also picked up wins from Theresa Kirsimagi (100 butterfly) and Elizabeth Bartlett (100 breaststroke).

 

In the boys meet, Michael Losado of St. Joseph won the 50 free and the 100 free, but Taconic Hills' boys came out on the winning side of a 49-25 decision.
