St. Joe Girls, Pittsfield Boys Win

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Ellie Field, Emma Whitney, Elizabeth Bartlett and Jesse Tobin each won two events to lead the St. Joseph girls swim team to a 76-18 win over Pittsfield on Tuesday at the Boys & Girls Club.
 
In the boys meet, Greg Fournier, Liam Mooney and Lucas Godwin each was a double-winner to help the Generals to a 62-29 win over the Crusaders.
 
Fournier won the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 10.56 seconds and the 100 breast stroke (1:17.54). Mooney won the 200 individual medley (2:33.12) and 100 butterfly (1:06.28). Godwin won the 500 freestyle (5:58.72) and 100 backstroke (1:07.18).
 
Fournier, Godwin and Mooney also each swam legs on Pittsfield's winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay quartets, along with Matt Salvie.
 
St. Joe won the 200 free relay with Matt Tobin, Bailey DiSanti, Artem Dudko and Mike DiSanti. Mike DiSanti also got a win in the 50 freestyle (25.88).
 
In the girls' meet, Field racked up points early with a leg on the winning medley relay and wins in the 200 IM (2:33.88) and 50 free (27.12) in the first four events of the day.
 
Whitney won the 200 free (2:09.32) and 500 free (5:29.25). Tobin won the 100 fly (1:06.40) and 100 back (1:07.00). Bartlettt won the 100 free (1:01.72) and 100 breast (1:17.64).
 
St. Joe's girls swept all three relays and the top two positions in each of the individual events.
