PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Mount Greylock's Jacob Fink came from behind Thursday to defeat Brian Lavinio at No. 2 singles as the Mounties defeated Pittsfield, 4-1.

Fink dropped the first set before prevailing in a tiebreak, 1-6, 6-3, 7-6 (1).

"This was a very good match by both players," Pittsfield coach Dan Shane Sullivan said. "Three full sets and a third set tiebreaker. Brian (Lavinio) held and broke serve to go up 6-5 in the final set. Fink came from 30-15 down in the final game to bring it to a tiebreaker, and played well in the tiebreaker."

Josh Narey defeated Adam Quinto, 6-4, 7-5, to give the Mounties a point at No. 3 singles.

Mount Greylock picked up doubles wins from the tandems of Sam Dils/Toby Foehl and Gabe Gerry/Luke Swann.

At first singles, Pittsfield's Evan Dempsey defeated Brady Foehl, 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, after rallying from down 4-1 in the third set.

"Two great matches to watch at first and second singles," Sullivan said. :A pretty close match overall, but a very tough Greylock team that played well at every position. Good tennis and a fun match."
