McCann Tech Baseball Edged at Franklin Tech

TURNERS FALLS, Mass. – The Franklin Tech baseball team Thursday scored two runs in the bottom of the second and held on for a 2-1 win over McCann Tech.
 
The Hornets got one run back in the top of the fourth. Nick Gilman reached on an error to lead off the inning, stole second base, went to third on an error and scored when Lukas Rylander reached on an error.
 
Just one of Franklin Tech’s runs were earned against McCann Tech starter Austin Buda, who helped his cause by going 2-for-3 with a double at the plate.
 
Josh Livsey and Gilman also pitched for the Hornets. Livsey struck out seven, walked one and allowed no hits in four innings of work.
 
McCann Tech (7-3) hosts Franklin Tech on Friday.
