SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Matt Lowe went 4-for-5 with a pair of RBIs Tuesday to lead the Mount Everett baseball team to a 15-1, five-inning win over Springfield International Charter School.

The Eagles made short work of their first opponent in a busy week, saving their arms for the schedule ahead by pounding out 14 hits.

“Good start to a four-game week,” Mount Everett coach Dan Lanoue said. “We hit the ball well and had solid pitching and defense. We put together a good game where we didn't let up and stayed aggressive on offense.”

Darius Taliaferro and Ian Lanoue each had a pair of hits. Lanoue doubled and drove in a pair of runs.

He also got the win on the mound with two innings of scoreless relief for starter Sean Warren.

Mount Everett (4-3) makes the short trip to Lee on Wednesday and the long trip to Cooperstown, N.Y, to play Drury on Thursday before finishing the week at home against Franklin Tech on Friday.
