MONTAGUE, Mass. – Turners Falls’ Joey Mosca held Mount Everett to four hits in a complete-game effort Monday as the fourth-seeded Thunder advanced in the Western Massachusetts Class D Quarter-Finals with a 6-2 win over the Eagles.

Matt Lowe had two of those hits for Mount Everett, which got back-to-back doubles from Heyden Cutlip and Ian Lanoue.

Cutlip drove in both the Eagles’ runs with his two-bagger in the top of the seventh.

But Mosca got a strikeout, a groundout and a pop fly to leave Cutlip at third base.

Lowe and Sean Warren split the pitching duties for Mount Everett, combining to strike out five and allow three earned runs.

The Eagles (8-8) have three games left to play. Their next game is TBA.
