Clinton Baseball Team Upsets Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Brian Silvester struck out seven and scattered five hits Monday to lead the Clinton baseball team to a 5-1 win over Wahconah in the first round of the Division 3 State tournament on Monday.
 
Ryan Marauszwski went 2-for-2 with a double and scored a run on Braedyn Melle’s RBI groundout in the second inning.
 
That run gave Wahconah a 1-0 lead, but Clinton came back and tied it in the top of the third. The visitors went on top with two runs in the top of the fourth.
 
James Rabuse and Charlie Wendell split time on the mound for Wahconah. Rabuse struck out 10 in 5-? innings. Wendell pitched 1-? innings of scoreless relief.
 
Wahconah finishes the year 13-7.
