NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Lucas Hamilton and Connor Hinkell combined on a three-hitter Saturday as Drury beat Wahconah in a pitchers’ duel at Joe Wolfe Field.

Hamilton struck out four, walked one and stranded four baserunners in five innings of work.

Hinkell struck out four and did not allow anyone on base in two innings to pick up the save.

It was a 0-0 contest until the fifth inning.

That is when Braedyn Durant led off with a single to center field.

He moved up when Noah Arnold laid down a sacrifice bunt and scored when Carson Rylander doubled to left to drive in the game’s only run.

Both teams played error-free defense in the battle of former Berkshire County league foes.

Braedyn Melle ended up the hard-luck loser for Wahconah, striking out four, walking five and allowing five hits in six innings of work.

Wahconah (10-6) hosts Frontier on Monday.

Drury (12-4) is at Lenox on Monday.
