The Berkshire County Baseball Umpires Association honored four high school seniors recently.

The umpires named Taconic’s Izaiya Mestre and Mount Greylock’s Brandon Condon the most valuable players in the Berkshire North and South Divisions, respectively.

Lenox’s Michael Downer was given the Raymond Pierson Sportsmanship Award for the South Division. Taconic’s Jack Cooney was named the Raymond Pierson Sportsmanship Award winner in the North Division.

Each award came with a $500 scholarship. The money is raised at the BCBUA’s annual golf tournament at Skyline Country Club in Lanesborough.
