HADLEY, Mass. – Morrie Fried went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles Tuesday to lead the Pittsfield baseball team to its fourth straight win, a 10-0, five-inning victory over Hopkins Academy.

“Offense, pitching and defense played flawless today,” Pittsfield coach Drew Pearce said. “Led by [Cam] Hillard, [Brayden] Gutzmer and [Simon] Mele on the mound and Fried, [Roshan] Warriar and [Jason] Codey at the plate. Dominant win for the boys today.”

Fried drove in a pair of runs and scored twice.

Warrior was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs, and Codey was 2-for-3.

Hillard got the start on the hill and went three innings, allowing just two hits. Gutzmer and Mele allowed one hit between them in two innings of relief.

Pittsfield (12-5) finishes the regular season on Thursday at Pope Francis.
