Jayko Scores OT Game-Winner for Hoosac Boys

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Hoosac Valley’s Tyler Jayko was able to grab a loose ball in a scrum in front of the Monument Mountain goal and score to give the Hoosac Valley boys lacrosse team an 11-10, double overtime victory on Saturday.
 
It was Jayko’s second goal of the game for Hoosac (6-5).
 
Nick Waterman scored four times, and Brenden Ellsworth had a hat trick in the victory.
 
Cam Alibozek stopped six shots to earn the win.
 
Jonah Swotes had 13 saves for Monument Mountain (6-6), which got a game-high five goals from Jake Parkinson, three scores from Joe LaBrasca and two goals and three assists from Connor Parkinson.
 
Hoosac Valley goes to Wahconah on Monday. Monument is off until Tuesday’s rematch with the Hurricanes in Cheshire.
