Lynch Earns 2-0 Win on Road for Lee

AMHERST, Mass. – Bri Lynch struck out 15 walked none Wednesday to pitch the Lee softball team to a 2-0 win over Amherst-Pelham.
 
Lynch scattered three hits in lowering her earned run average to 1.78 with her third straight shutout.
 
Lee’s offense did all its damage in the top of the first.
 
Julianna Schuerer reached on a bunt single with one out and scored on Lynch’s triple to center field.
 
With two out, Taryn Bannon reached on an infield single that scored Lynch.
 
Lynch finished the day 3-for-4 at the plate. Schuerer, Bannon and Autumn Schwab each had a pair of hits.
 
Lee (8-2) is home on Friday against St. Mary’s of Westfield.
